ProjectDetails Winner of the 2008 Timber in Construction Award for 'Best in British Timber'.
Description : The Northmoor Trust required a sustainable and cost effective office building to accommodate their day to day activities. The timber framed solution was constructed on site in 2005. The locally sourced Douglas Fir timber frame was cut on site by an international team of about 70 carpenters in an intensive two week period. The timber frame event was a joint project between The Carpenters Fellowship and The Timber Framers Guild. Involvement : Concept design, 3D modeling, planning proposal, timber frame design & workshop drawings, detail design and on site participation. Building control: Darren Aspinal & Simon Jewell Jewell & Co.
